We Are All Twits

I am having one of my’ do I believe it or don’t I ‘ moments … the team has been churning over what we plan to do in terms of ‘new technology’ around the JISC Conference 2008 . Amongst other things it seems as if Twitter will play a part probably as a micro-blogging tool to try and get delegates talking about sessions etc . Well so that we don’t all feel mega stupid about it, the Comms team is slowly turning into Twitterers (sigh) - with the fabulous results of us now knowing if we’re sitting on trains, waiting for offspring or having slugs creep under our kitchen doors - no doubt this will all be a prelude to something more useful and productive and we are just getting used to how it works…

There is obviously much debate about this among those who know - inevitably the omnipresent Brian Kelly is of course is banging on about it and others too are trying it out in a conference context, like Brooklyn Museum (Thanks Hector for the link). I guess time will tell how this will go but it does seem as though someone’s bright idea(?) might find some problems that it can be the solution for
