This is the fourth year that JISC has attended the Online Educa Conference in Berlin. For the third time JISC and SURF are sharing an exhibition area as well as having speakers in sessions and related project representatives in the conference
Preparing a joint exhibition space is always a challenge not only logistically but also in terms of themes to cover and topics address. This year JISC is focusing on e-Learning, Digitisation, the Strategic Content Alliance, and Access Management
The conference itself is its usual slightly difficult mix of academics, technologists, policy makers and wider government and European delegates with, not unnaturally, a good mix of international delegates, many of whom would like access to JISC licensed materials which triggers and unhelpfully negative response
